Data is collected at a distance of 1.5 to 3 nautical miles
from the tower
Approximately
10,000 to 15,000 data points are collected for Analog TV and FM
Approximately 7,000 data points are collected for HDTV
A minimum of 3 revolutions are flown around the tower
Altitude is determined by the published beam tilt of the
antenna and the sample radius or at the altitude requested
by the customer
Survey can be performed by Helicopter for antennas 300 ft to
1000ft or by fixed wing for antennas 1000ft or higher (FAA
restrictions may effect the collection method)
